Alum, entrepreneur Richard Caruso profiled
Richard Caruso 'M66 was featured in an extensive profile by U.S. 1 Newspaper, a Princeton, N.J., publication.
The story detailed Caruso's career and his founding of Integra Life Sciences, a medical products company with annual sales of $500 million and doing business in more than 100 countries. "I came to the conclusion that since the human body had the ability to generate its own parts, why couldn't we figure out a way to have the body do it again?" he told the newspaper.
Among the company's core products is a technology that is used to repair the dura matter around the brain, nerves, and tendons. Caruso is the 2006 winner of the national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
